Daddy's Best Student

So today I wanted to share a brand new layout I just finished. It is titled "Daddy's best student" and stars Scott and Gabriel of course. I wanted to capture some of these precious moments when Gabe plays with Daddy and on his own. He seems to love the piano and music in general. Whenever music comes on he dances, it is sooo cute.

Yep, music is pretty important around our house. Aspen is also crazy about her music, she loves to find new up and coming bands and go to concerts. In fact she was begging for tickets to a concert two days ago.  She is actually helping me with an upcoming article/project for Scrapjazz.com entitled: "Soundtrack of My Summer" it will be a mini album with 10 favorite songs from your summer. It should be lots of fun to create it with her! Well gotta run, she needs picked up from Dad's house. Happy Tuesday!

Thanks Big Sis

So today's blog entry is dedicated to the learning one acquires from older siblings. More specifically the two helpful things that Aspen taught her baby brother this week. She introduced Gabriel to the art of eating cookies and milk, I have several photos to share below and I even got some video of him demonstrating the new technique- too cute.

So there you have it, another first for Gabe. Everyday is a new discovery for him he is at such a fun age right now.

We have been busy here this week, Aspen with school work prior to Spring Break, me with upcoming Scrapbook class kits and Scott with his 3 jobs (Willowbrook, piano instructor and Celebrate Recovery leader). Things should slow down a bit this week. So I will try to share daily if I can. Have a blessed Sunday!

Love & Marriage

So yesterday I was thinking of my parents celebrating their 45th Wedding Anniversary on March 23rd and how amazing that is. I think that these days marriage is not what it should be to a lot of people and I am very happy to have been blessed with parents that love each other the way God intended, unconditionally. Of course they are very lucky to have each other, because as many of us know- one spouse can be fully committed while the other one is just not. Regardless, if anything should be celebrated its a happy marriage, so of course I had to make them a special card. I used green cardstock and Jillibean Soup patterned papers. It is displayed above.  I also have to say how grateful I am for my husband Scott and his commitment to me. We have only been married for two and a half years, but he would tell you that he's been committed to me for at least 20 years. But that's a whole other story..... Anyhow I had to share one of our wedding layouts as well, this is my current favorite titled Forever & Ever.

So that is all I had to share today, tune in tomorrow for some great photos of Mr. Gabriel and his first venture with cookies and milk, sissy taught him how. These kids are just too cute.

My First Blog Post!

So how cool is this. My very own blog. This is all very new to me but I'm learning. So the main reason I created a blog was to further my accessibility in the scrapbooking industry. It seems that all the designers have their own blogs to showcase their layouts and list their resumes. So I thought I would give it a try. I have online scrapbook galleries at scrapjazz.com and scrapbook.com but this is more personal and allows me much more flexibility. Anyhow I wanted to share one of my latest favorites of my son Gabriel. It is titled "14 months of Blessings" and was created for the Jillibean Soup Sketch contest.

Well I guess that is all for now, I need to see if I did this correctly. :) Technology these days has me on quite the learning curve, Thank God for my 15 year old daughter Aspen.
