Jillibean Soup Christmas Cheer Chowder

Next up on the menu is Jillibean Soups newest Holiday faire: Christmas Cheer Chowder:
North Pole Card: Jillibean Soup/Christmas Cheer Chowder paper & stamps and stampables frame

My December Daily cheer altered album, here is the before picture of the metal receipt clipboard that I altered, we got it on the Longest Yard Sale for $1.00.
and here is what it became:
Front Album Cover

There are several Jillibean design team members on this page, can you spot Jen, Kimber & Teka?

Added the Wish List bite size bit into a stampable mini chevron bag to list out what was on each family members list for Santa.

Ok I LOVE this bite size bit, it is a quote from one of my fav Christmas movies: Elf

Added a vellum envelope for some special gift tags or other memorabilia.
Right side is all Christmas Eve photos
Christmas Day Page

Not everyone extends their Dec. Daily to the 31st, but I always do because Gabe's bday is the 27th and I want to include his bday pics and we always have the New Years party for my family and Aspen's friends so I love including those pics too. So I added fold-outs for both of those days.

That album took alot of hours with the scoring, folding and measuring, but the end result was worth it!

That is all for now, do you do a December Daily album every year? If so tell me what your planning to use for yours this year. I would love to hear your ideas and inspiration.

Jillibean Soup's New Cold Avocado Soup

So I just wanted to pop in and share some recent Jillibean Soup projects using the newest collections. Which should be arriving in your local stores and has already arrived in several online stores, my favorite being Scrapbook.com.

First on the menu is some Cold Avocado Soup projects:
Love 24/7 Card; Brand new Jillibean Soup/Cold Avocado Soup papers and stamps

Thankful for you Card: using new Jillibean Soup/Cold Avocado Soup paper, stamps and Cuttlebug embossing
As usual my favorite projects are always the altered projects, especially when they turn out how I envision them (they don't always ;) Here was an altered cash register drawer I got at a flea market for $2.00. I should have taken a before photo, but I didn't.

Really love this collection, so versatile and the colors are divine!

Later this week I will share our new Holday/Winter Collection- Christmas Cheer Chowder, including my December Daily Altered Album, you don't want to miss it!

Jinger Adams/Hampton Art Blog Hop

All of us on the Hampton Art design team got to partner with Jinger Adams for a blog hop hop yesterday. All of the projects can be found on this post: Jinger Adams Post

Here is the card I shared for the hop, I loved the citrus color palette:

I used the Jinger Adams Sweet Tart collection pack and the Sweet Tart tags, they have beautiful glitter embossing that really make projects shimmer.

Here is a sneak peek of another Jinger Adams card that I did for an October project, it will be up on the Hampton blog soon:

Let me know what you think and have a great weekend!

Aspen's Journey to College

So after eighteen years of planning our daughter, Aspen finally headed off to college on Sept. 27th. As I expected it was a bittersweet day. So excited for her to be moving on to the next chapter of her life but so hard to get in my car that night and drive away. :( However, she is doing great she loves the school and has been making lots of new friends. We are so proud of her! I only have a few pictures to share, I didn't take my camera that day, because I didn't want to embarrass her.

In front of her apartment complex

Her side of the bedroom and her bed

Her desk area in her room

Aspen's Move in Day at College in front of her Apt. Her caption under this photo on facebook stated: Today was the day that my parents finally let me leave the nest. Moved into my new place. #college #finally :)

For Aspen to get to go to college has been a dream of mine since the day she was born. I always encouraged, always prodded, always planted that seed of what could be if she just applied herself. And here we are, she did it, we did it and I am so grateful that God has blessed her with these amazing opportunities. Just keep your focus on the Lord Aspen and he will carry you through any storm this life brings along. If anyone should know that you should, our life has had many examples of enduring storms, may the sun continue to shine on you now baby girl.
Remember God is your Anchor
Hebrews 6:19 - "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain."

Always here for you,
XXOO
Mom :)
