Precious Easter Memories

Just wanted to share some family Easter photos. It was a difficult Easter for us losing my dear Aunt Betty that week, words can't describe the emotional roller coaster the last few weeks have been. However, we know how much fun she had with us last Easter and so it is certain that she was with us in spirit. So first I want to share a photo of her from last Easter:

Rest in peace Aunt Betty, until we meet again.
Having Aunt Betty here for the past year was such a blessing, she made every family gathering more fun. Sharing this past years holidays with her made them so much more precious, she so appreciated every moment- knowing her time was limited. Much can be learned from her attitude and compassionate spirit, the strength of her faith was unwavering up to the end of her journey here.
2 Timothy 4:7
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Amen

Now on to sharing some family moments:

But the highlight of the week was the day after Easter when Aspen was baptized. Oh Happy Day!
So proud of my baby girl and the extraordinary woman she is becoming. Praise the Lord.

My Minds Eye Challenge at PageMaps

So I recently came across a sketch challenge at the Pagemaps blog and really loved the sketch. Here is the sketch by Becky Fleck:

Really fun sketch, right? Of course Becky's sketches never disappoint! So I decided to play along, I grabbed some MME papers for a cute Halloween layout. Here is what I interpreted from the sketch above:

Materials Used: My Minds Eye/Mischievous-Bewitching, What a Hoot, Happy Halloween & Creepy Celebration; Jillibean Soup/Placemat- Kraft Lattice; Corrugated Kool Kraft Alpha & Corrugated Buttons; Black Alphabean; Archival Ink/Coffee; Orange Embroidery floss

Really love this collection's cute designs and color combo. So what do you think? If you want to try the sketch challenge go to this link, but hurry challenge ends April 21st.
