January & February Jillibean Projects

Well sorry for the long blog posting break, in my defense I have been a bit busy. But now I am happy to report that my gall bladder surgery went well and I am on my way to a full recovery. So now to catch up on Jillibean projects. First off the projects that posted on the Jillibean blog in January:
First up my altered project was an upcycled birdhouse I found at Goodwill for $5.00.

Love how it turned out, used all Jillibean Soup/Winter Tortellini & Spinach Soup
One of my January Cards, titled Country Fresh Smiles Bouquet.

Here is a close-up, this card was mostly Jillibean Soup/Grandma's Lima Bean Soup, mason jar stamp is from Coconut Lime Unity Stamp set.
One of my February cards, was on the blog today- Hope You're Swell; Uses new Jillibean Soup/Irish Farmhouse Collection
My Be Mine Via Airmail valentine card was my other February Jillibean Card, this also was made with the brand new Jillibean soup/Irish Farmhouse collection

My February altered project has not posted on the blog yet, but it is a super cute mini album using the brand new Fresh Vegetable Soup. I will share it with you soon!

Creative Scrappers Sketch Challenge

I was lucky enough to sneak away to a crop last night with some great friends at Scrapbook Art in Lewis Center, Ohio and this was my fav layout of the night. It happened to be from a sketch that I really loved and wanted to use for some pics of our recent trip to Colorado. The sketch is by the very talented Juliana Michaels and it looks like this:

I used a collection by Echo Park called Winter Park it reminds me of Crested Butte, Colorado which is where these pictures were taken. I adapted the sketch into a double layout and added two photos per page and a journal card:

Materials List: Echo Park/Winter Park Collection pack; LilyBee/Memorandum; Jillibean Soup/Alphabeans-Tomato Red & Apple Green; Studio Calico/Wood Veneers; Queen & Co/Twinkle Goosebumps-Stars; Maya Road/Trinkets Gray Ribbon

Let me know what you think, if you would like to play along go to the Creative Scrappers website before Feb. 1st. Have a great weekend!

Mini Cards and a Sneak Peek

Just wanted to share a couple mini cards I did recently for my monthly Jillibean projects. They were featured on the blog this week. I came up with this size by simply cutting an A2 size card in half.

Materials list:
Patterned Paper: Winter Tortellini & Spinach Soup/Garlic Flakes, Cheese Tortellini, Fresh Baby Spinach, Fresh Basil, Frozen Peas, Stewed Tomatoes; Macho Nacho/Bite Size Bits; Card Base: Kraft; Pea Pod Parts: Winter Tortellini & Spinach Soup & Grandma’s Lima Bean Soup; Baker’s Twine: Red & Brown
Cool Beans: Vintage; Wood Flags: Thank you & For You

So on to the fun stuff! Have you been following the new releases at CHA? It has been very exciting to be able to create and send projects for the Jillibean Booth and I wanted to share a couple sneak peeks of my mini album project that made the trip to California. It features the brand new Jillibean Soup/Fresh Vegetable Soup collection, my favorite part is the cover (see if you can guess why):

That is all I can share for now, but the whole album will be featured on the Bean Talk blog next month. Have a great weekend!

Maya Road & Jillibean Soup Projects

All week on the Jillibean Soup Blog and the Maya Road blog they have been sharing projects that resulted from a product swap. What a combination of inspiration has occurred! So many amazing projects from both design teams, you must go see for yourself!

A few of my projects were shared on the Jillibean blog today in this post: Bean Talk Blog I had fun creating some altered coffee cup photo holders from a chipboard coaster album for Christmas gifts and a fun butterfly card. So if you are a family member and you see your initials then yes this coffee cup photo holder is probably for you :) Surprise! Consider it an early Christmas gift preview:

The Materials list for all of these is on the Jillibean blog here.

Let me know which one you like best, I can't decide which one I like best. :)
