Altered Clipboards

I just wanted to share a sneak peek of a recent project duo I created for an article over at Scrapjazz.com. They are altered clipboards, two different examples show how versatile these projects can be. They make great low cost gifts too! Moxie Fab Gingham Challenge & Coconut Lime Cards

So I wanted to join in over at Moxie Fab to their "Gingham" Challenge. I am a country girl at heart you know, and gingham is definitely my style.  So I pulled out my favorite new Jillibean Soup papers, Coconut Lime Soup and started playing. The challenge was to use gingham in an innovative way so this is the card I entered into the challenge:

I used a punched out scrap and made it into a banner piece and then layered a contrast color under it.

 This is another of my favorites of the group, it reminds me of a summer farmer's market:

Materials Used: Jillibean Soup/Coconut Lime Soup paper, pods, stickers & Bite Size Bits; Jillibean Soup/Butterfly Sugar Pick; Want 2 Scrap/red gemstones; Jillibean Soup/Red Baker's Twine

I was also lucky enough to get to teach a Jillibean Soup Card Class in Lancaster, Ohio at the Grand Re-opening of Scrapbooks 2 Cherish this weekend. I really enjoyed it and got to meet some wonderful ladies there. One of the cards we did in class was by Summer Fullerton:

 and I decided to do a few variations of that card, it is very versatile. Here are my interpretation of Summer's original:

Altered Frame Tutorial

Happy National Scrapbooking Day all! and Cinco De Mayo-  a match made in heaven I say. Mexican food + scrapping good times= A Wonderful Day!

Anyhow, I just wanted to share some sneak peeks of an article I did that is up over at Scrapjazz.com. It is an altered frame for my Mom for Mother's Day using Websters pages paper, Maya Road chipboard & trim and some vintage buttons. It started out as a $.25 frame I bought at a garage sale! In the article there is a step by step tutorial on how to do it, it really isn't hard- just takes a little time and patience. Here are some close-up sneak peeks:

Pinterest Inspired Card and Sunshine Article

Just wanted to share a quick post of a couple recent items. Last week one of my cards was shared on the Jillibean Soup blog. It was actually a thank you card I made for Jill. Here it is:

Materials used: Jillibean Soup/kraft card base, Apple Cheddar/Milk, Homemade 6 Bean/Red Beans, Black-eyed Peas & Navy Beans; Jillibean Soup/Wood flags-Thank you; Jillibean Soup-Wood Buttons/Wood Flower; green embroidery floss & chestnut cats eye/brown inked edges

The card was inspired by a card I spotted on Pinterest by Roree Rumph, you can see her original here:

 she also has a great tutorial here that explains how to make the flowers on your Cricut.

I also wanted to share one of my articles that just published over at Scrapjazz.com. It is a "You are My Sunshine" article featuring all sunshine projects. Including a layout, printers tray, and 3 cards. Here are some sneak peeks:

Easter Greetings and Moxie Challenge

Happy Easter weekend all! Hope you are enjoying some down time with your families like we did today. I just wanted to share some Easter cards and a spring masking article over at Scrapjazz.com. So first of all a big Moxie Challenge is happening over at the Moxie Fab Blog it is to create "Do it Yourself" embellishments. So I submit my Easter cards made out of Jillibean Soup papers from the Homemade 6 Bean line and the Southern Chicken Dumpling line. I made my own crosses from the Apple Cheddar/Milk paper and the flowers were cut on my Cricut using the Kate's Alphabet cartridge. Then I added some egg shaped doilies I found at the dollar store and some ink, vintage buttons and rhinestones.
